About Shibwns
Shibwns is a proudly independent restaurant nestled in the beautiful coastal village of Aberporth, West Wales. At Shibwns, we take genuine pride in the food and experience we offer — combining locally sourced ingredients with warm Welsh hospitality.
We’re passionate about supporting Welsh suppliers, and it shows in the quality of every dish we create. From fresh produce to premium ingredients, our menu reflects a commitment to flavour, sustainability, and community.
Our coffee is roasted locally, just a few miles away by Bay Coffee Roasters, ensuring every cup is fresh, full-bodied, and expertly brewed. All of our cakes are made in-house, offering a delicious selection of freshly baked treats that change regularly.
We are proud to hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, reflecting our high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and care in everything we do.

Our Story
We are Menna & Karl - a couple that have worked in hospitality for the last 15 years. When the spot came up we knew we had to take the leap and try it out for ourselves.
We set out with the vision of providing Aberporth and the
surrounding area with a place to come and relax with the aim of providing fresh tasty food & coffee.
Since opening the doors in April 2025 we have learned a lot and are developing ideas day by day.
Karl is the talented chef behind the scenes and thrives off
knowing that he is providing guests with tasty, fresh and homemade food day in day out.
Menna is the part Baker and what started off as a hobby has now become her life's work where she enjoy's developing and
producing different cakes and bakes for everyone to enjoy.
We are always open to try new things and welcome a good challenge.
